Touched Down~~
After a 6days 5nights unstopping shopping spree..with some sight seeing of course.
Bad Weather when we landed.and oh yah things to talk about==> the Budget Terminal.
It really lives up to its name. BUDGET.
Its small, unappealing, and its pretty obvious that they utilise the least amount of technology. Checking in was done manually through handwritten tickets, and the distance from the check in entrance to the main was onli about a few hundred Meters away.
Well to be nice, its not exactly all bad, you can say that is a brand new experience of boarding a plain. Its pretty similar to those kind whereby big shots enters a country and they have to walk down the plane using the staircase. EXCEPT, we didnt have the red carpet to accompany us.
During our returning trip, the weather was horrendous, we thought they would somehow provide us with a sheltered walkway down but NOooooo..we have to brave through the rain with our hand carry bags. Okie thankfully the distance ain that far. In conclusion for the rating of our new BUDGET terminal, i give a fair 3 n half stars.
The trip on the whole was indeed enjoyable. Though i've been there like several times, but i have been exploring new places and new stuff each time i'm there. course its even more special when you're travelling with your love one. The new Places that i would recommend would be Dream World, Suan Lam..there's a new eating place near the huge Ferry's Wheel, Ni's Settler's Cafe!!! (their official opening was last Saturday. ) and of course the new Siam Paragon. It can be quoted as the most high end shopping mall in Asia.. aLL the branded stuff, you name it , they have it, Even cars like Ferrari,BMW etc..They even have a 2 storey underwater marine at the basement. I was indeed flabbergasted at the sight of this exquisite building.
Their cinema is the best i've seen so far. With high quality cups and straws and even holding area. i even that i was underdress with my shorts and t-shirt.
About 3/4 of the time in Bangkok, we were shopping our way through. From the usual shopping malls to the busiest night market in town. Learning new bargaining sales each time. The worst experience was in Patpong, our first stop. Ooo Dear and I was con like dunno how many times. Prices are like getting lower and lower each time we inch our way deeper into the market. * Heartache* but well, wats done cannot be undone. we can onli whine and learn from our mistakes.
And we did, our deals were closed at lower prices for the following days. All my stuff were cheap and in huge quantity, dear's are like expensive and in smaller quantity. i must admit that Bangkok is really a paradise for ladies and not really for man. What they can buy are onli T-shirts, berms, Watches, bags, for ladies, its an neverending display of clothes, accessories, bags, shoes...n many more.
I'm indeed guilty of walking so many streets just looking at my stuff and with korkie jus beside me making sure i'm safe.
Oh ya another thing to add on..many of the local though that dear n me are Thais too!!!HMM wonder if thats a compliment but well its definitely an advantage. They usaually treat the locals better and quote them cheaper price. Korkie tried to act, but failed once. therefore, we gonna learn some basic Thai the next time we're gg again.
Okie gonna stop here and update with pics in the next blog....
